  1. An example of a valid logical argument: When I drive home I listen to music. I drove home yesterday. Therefore, I listened to music yesterday!
  2. An example of a logical fallacy:
This is an example of a slippery slope fallacy because it is suggesting if an event X happens, then the event Y will inevitably happen. This photo is suggesting that anyone who drops out of school is essentially doomed. Although education is always good to have, this is a very dramatic conclusion and is not true.

3. Geomatics is the best discipline on Earth and anyone in this discipline will know this because we study the earth! Geomatics takes into account everything around us from mapping the bottom of the ocean to remote sensing. Without geomatics, the vessel that carries my clothes I buy online could hit a shoal and sink, I wouldn’t know how to get to my favourite restaurants in a different city, and I wouldn’t be able to send my location to my friends if we get split up in a busy area! However, none of these are an issue because Geomatics is the best discipline on Earth and solves all of these problems.
